A Popping Noise Sound in a Vizio
Vizio televisions have advanced sound settings that are often tricky to troubleshoot. Fortunately, when the Vizio TV volume keeps going up or you experience a no sound problem, there is a simple solution available. In many cases, it's a simple conflict between programs controlling the sound settings and a brief navigation to and adjustment of these settings will resolve the problem. A no sound problem is less common than sound fluctuation issues but it does happen on occasion.
Ideally, the solution is simple and does not require any physical changes or repairs to the hardware. Start with the easy stuff and make sure the television is not muted. Next, turn up the speaker volume and check for sound. Turn the station to ensure the issue is local to the television.
Next, inspect the speaker system. Integrated speakers are often used but a soundbar or exterior sound system can fail due to a lack of power. Make sure the speaker system is turned on and is connected to the television. Physically inspect power cords and speaker wires for loose or bad connections. Navigate with the remote Audio then to Audio Settings to ensure the speakers are turned on within the television settings as well.
The other common no sound issue involves a conflict with the cable or satellite box. The box can override the sound settings and you must turn up the sound through the box rather than the television. Select the Cable option on your remote and turn up the sound to test for this issue. You can change the primary sound control option in the Audio Settings and Speaker Settings portion of the control panel. When the Vizio TV volume goes all the way up or fluctuates randomly, a conflict of devices is present.
The Vizio soundbar volume fluctuates in a similar manner as the television stock speakers and the resolution process is the same for both speaker options. Ultimately, the way to fix the sound fluctuations is through simple settings changes to prevent program conflicts.
When the volume fluctuates, access the Audio Settings using the remote control. Now test the volume to see if the new settings function properly. If the volume continues to fluctuate, the TruVolume settings are not the primary issue. In this instance, check the cable or satellite box settings for conflicts.
Vizio Sound Bar Setup & Troubleshooting
Turn off the box volume to only use the soundbar or speaker system. If the problem persists, check the settings on all apps and turn off the volume controls within apps so the only controls being used are those determined by your primary preferences. In rare cases, the volume controls are very difficult to assess and troubleshoot. Utilize the Vizio customer support forums and channels to seek specialized assistance. The Vizio community is capable of helping with difficult problems unique to your situation.
If the volume is intermittent or no volume exists, the potential for a hardware malfunction exists. In this instance, check the Vizio warranty for repair or replacement potential. Your point of purchase may also have offered an extended warranty service that may cover hardware failures.
If the warranty does not cover the television, seek professional repair services for a quote on new speakers or a repair to the existing system.

A sound bar is a great alternative to a full-blown home theater system, and can give your out-of-the-box TV audio more than a little added pop. Common issues you can run into with LG sound bars include no audio, power problems, remote control problems, and more. Use troubleshooting to work through these challenges and get your soundbar back up and running. Check that the power cable connected to the LG sound bar is firmly connected.
If the device still isn't working, verify that the outlet you're attempting to connect the sound bar to doesn't work by connecting a device that you know does, such as a lamp. If that device works, then you'll need to contact LG and raise the issue with them, or return the device to the reseller you purchased it from and see if you can exchange it. Setting the functionality up requires an initial pairing.
If you've already paired the two LG devices but are not able to control the sound bar's volume using your TV remote, try un-pairing and then re-pairing the two devices in the Sound Sync section on your TV. Alternatively, if you didn't pair the device's previously, verify that you're TV actually supports the Sound Sync feature. Try resolving any other issues you experience by resetting the device to its factory default settings by doing the following:.

No Sound from Sound Bar If you are playing audio from a connected Bluetooth device, ensure that the volume is turned up on both the source device and the LG sound bar. Also, ensure that neither the sound bar or the source device is muted.
Verify that you've selected the correct input source. Check the back of the device to ensure you know what input to look for. Also, try cycling through the inputs in the event you misread the input the device was actually connected to and that audio is actually coming out of another input.
No Sound from Subwoofer Make sure the subwoofer associated with the sound bar is firmly connected to the outlet it's plugged into. If the unit is getting power, the issue is most likely associated with the Bluetooth connection.
Un-pair and then re-pair the subwoofer with the sound bar to see if this resolves your issue.Pros: Sound bars, whether from Vizio or other manufacturers, provide much more kick and clarity than built-in TV speakers at a fraction of the cost and setup time required by high-end sound systems.
Cons: Sound bars do require some additional cost and setup and, like any external sound equipment, may call for some troubleshooting from time to time. Is your Vizio sound bar not working? As ofVizio manufactures and sells well over a dozen different sound bars, so troubleshooting procedures may vary per device. It's always best to check the original manual before attempting to problem-solve.
Fortunately, though, Vizio suggests a variety of troubleshooting techniques that are nearly universal. If you have neither sound nor action from your sound bar, turn to the most basic of troubleshooting tactics — simply making sure the device is plugged in to power and that the sound bar as well as the subwoofer, if your sound bar includes one is also powered on.
Likewise, press "mute" on the remote a few times to make sure that the sound bar is not muted, and turn up the volume for good measure. Once you've verified that the volume is up, ensure that the sound bar is securely plugged in to the TV by checking both ends of its RCA-to Unplug the cables for a bit to ensure that your TV source is actually producing sound before plugging them back in.
Still stumped? Try cycling through all of your TV's inputs and waiting five seconds on each input channel to check for audio. If possible, try connecting another external sound device to your TV to see if the problem stems from the sound bar or from the TV itself.
In some cases, you might get perfect sound from your Vizio sound bar, but nothing from the included subwoofer. When this happens, try moving the subwoofer closer to the sound bar, keeping in mind that, if it's a wireless sub, it needs a clear line of sight to the sound bar.
Also ensure that the subwoofer's volume is turned up with your sound bar's remote. Try the basics here, too, like ensuring that the power is on and checking the connections. But why is my Vizio sound bar blinking? If your sub has a slowly blinking light, it probably needs to be paired — or wirelessly connected — with the sound bar. To pair the devices, power the subwoofer on, then press the "pairing" button on the back of the sub. Hold the button for five seconds, until the light on the device begins to blink more quickly.
Now, press and hold the power button on your sound bar for five seconds if your sound bar has a pairing button, hold that instead.Menu Menu. Search Everywhere Threads This forum This thread. The popping noises can be the result of your power supply, your speakers or your input source. The input sources connected to your TV should be the first thing that you check when searching for the source of a popping sound on your Vizio TV.RE-LINKING SUBWOOFER WITH SOUND BAR
Change channels or try a new DVD or Blu-ray disc to see if the popping sound persists on each input source. If the popping sounds stop when changing input sources, the issue is with your source and not your TV. The way that your input devices connect to your TV should be examined if you suspect that one of your devices is causing the popping noises in your TV.
Examine the cables connecting to your input devices for nicks, frays and tears. If your cables appear to be intact, consider replacing them with cables that support higher shielding.
