Openshot slow export

Slowing down video? Pretty new with openshot and I have been trying to make a slow motion clip. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here? Thanks in advance. The Time function takes into account the entire length of the clip on which you are working, not just the segment that you want to adjust. If you are adjusting a section of a clip, my suggestions is that you export that section to a new file, import it to a new project, and set the Time function of that clip only.

Export that clip to a new file then import it into your original project. This a workaround but it does seem to work. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. It is a freeware software available on multiple OS. When opened, it should look like this. OpenShot utilizes a properties panel to make adjustments to different properties to your media file.

The properties panel is where any fine tuning of your clips, transition, and effects will happen. Make sure to select the clip that you want to work with before changing any properties. The selection menu at the top of the properties panel will display the current selected clip.

It also allows you to select another clip. There are several elements to a Timeline. I'm going to break down the visual cues for some of the more common and useful parts of a video. These are marked by a thumbnail of the content.

Video files will contain a film reel on the thumbnail while images will not. These video files can be tied to their own audio within the video, or they may be silent video clips. The difference between a video clip with its own sound, and one without its sound is shown here. There are two ways to view the sound wave forms for video clips. Note: Splitting the audio clip is a great way to allow yourself the ability to edit the audio of your clip without having to edit the video itself.

You can overlay multiple videos by stacking video clips on top of one another in the timeline. These are usually represented as a musical note as a thumbnail or if the file includes an album cover in the metadata it will display that.

The waveform marks the frequency and volume of the audio in the clip. These audio files can be easily layered, to have several layers of sound happening all at once.

Key Frames also highlight the attribute you are working with in the Properties panel. They change from Blue to Green when your play head is on a key frame. If you want only twelve seconds of your audio, right in the middle of your audio to be quiet, for instance, you can adjust that by using a few keyframes to toggle only part of your audio to be quiet.

Keyframes allow you to control various aspects of your media. You can make a picture rotate in, do a manual dissolve using the alpha channel, and take greater control over the different effects that are available.

Video Transitions:. You can add the transitions to your timeline by left clicking and dragging the transition to your desired clip. To open up the title customize menu. Select the title menu from the top or hit Control - T windows. This will open up the Titles window panel. Your newly created title can be added as an overlay over an existing video or on an empty slot of our timeline. This is useful if you want to add text as if it is a caption or a label to what is happening on screen or if you want to create a title screen.I have worked really hard, and I am now granting you the ability to slow down and speed up time!

With great power comes great responsibility Actually, you can only slow down and speed up videos If you need more precision than a simple dropdown, use the Advanced mode. Unfortunately, when you are not in "Normal Speed", there is no audio support. In other words, you can't slow motion audio or speed it up yet.

When you speed up a clip, it decreases the size of the clip on the timeline. Make sense? Oh yeah, if a clip is going to increase in size, the OUT is magically adjusted to remain the same as before, so it won't go and overlap other clips to the right.

But because the clip IS longer now, you can still adjust the OUT with the resize tool, or with our new advanced trim controls! Maybe too much precision! However, if you decide you only want to hear the audio of a clip, or only see the video, you can use the "General" tab on the clip properties window.

These are the same toggles that are available on the timeline i. Especially if you slow down a clip, and then set it's direction to reverse. If all these new features aren't enough, I have improved the auto-compositing capability of OpenShot to include all tracks including the bottom track. What does this mean? It means that you can now key-frame, animate, transition, fade, mask, etc A clip won't freak out anymore if there is no clip below it on the timeline. If you still don't understand, just know that this is really cool, and it will help you.

I am getting very close to a version 1. With the "official" release, there will be. Thanks again for the support!

How can I apply slow motion to a clip or even parts of a clip.

Tried the time property that didn't work at all. Help appreciated. I do not speak English. I will not do the instructional film for you because OpenShot does not want to work for me.

It does not allow me to finish work. Each version of the program is a problem with:. How would you do this for only a few seconds of a clip? Or can you only apply it to entire clips? Can be applied to a fragment or to an entire clip.

In my example, a clip of about 30 minutes is placed in the timeline. The clip is cut into fragments using the "Razor Tool" tool. Look carefully at my photo. The options shown apply to a fragment several dozen seconds with red frames on the sides.

Just use the "Razor Tool" Extract the part you need. Then mark this part and work it out. Closing for now. We use optional third-party analytics cookies to understand how you use GitHub.

So depending on if you have anti-virus software enabled along with XBox DVR enabled to other conflicting software that eats up memory and cpu performance, I would say 42 minutes sounds right, based on the i3 processor.

Realize there are multiple generations and models of Intel i3 Processors out there from 5th gen to 8th gen all with different cores and specs. Hi Rachel! Do you have the exact specs needed for the final result? For instance, will you be uploading to YouTube? Also, what are the specs of your source videos?

Are you reading and writing to the same drive? The videos are for Udemy courses. You should check your email I sent you a message there nwgat and yeah I know some of them are core2 but still in use!

I can confirm the long time on export, used the version Probably it would be possible to use all available processors? Nowadays there are multiple processors usually on computers and it would be useful to use them - presumably it would reduce the exporting time. Shotcut does scale to multiple cores but it is an option when exporting to disable it and some codecs do not scale. My video is 6 minutes long and rendering is taking 42 minutes.

We recently made the switch to seventh generation recycled, and I was discouraged to learn that recycled tp, paper towels, and napkins contain BPA.

For me, the environmental benefits of recycled outweigh the tiny amount of BPA exposure in this case. It is more durable. What dehydrator options can you recommend since many are plastic.
